Biogennix moldable products such as Morpheus™, provide strong intraoperative handling advantages over dry granules alone. Our organic binder suspends the granules together in a putty-like state allowing the graft to be molded into the desired shape. It also allows for other materials such as autograft chips and blood to be mixed in without sacrificing consistency or sticking to surgical gloves. This ability to mold, mix, and implant in the surgical site while remaining as one contiguous mass separates us from other competitive products with similar properties. Finally, the binder’s resistance to early break down by surrounding fluids keeps the graft stable during handling and placement, allowing revascularization to begin and kick off the bone healing cascade. Once this happens, the organic binder is quickly absorbed allowing the remodeling process to continue throughout the graft mass. These handling properties make a difference before, during and after the surgical procedure.
